Growing

At times I feel like a child, not immature but fresh and new, learning the world from scratch, a tiny seedling. See, I started over a short time ago. Yes, I know I'm thirty years old, but when you've gone your whole life absorbing the untrue, or for lack of a better word "poison", you sometimes have to move backwards in the process of unlearning. But, I'm really moving forward. Each day a new epiphany unfolded. Like peeling back the layers of a peony flower recently bloomed. So beautiful on the outside, but the center is where the honey bee suckles its nectar. The core, before the layers covered it up, still beautiful layers they seemed to be but were barriers and walls built to hide and maybe protect the sweet juice; MY TRUE SELF. Added fluff meant to beautify something which was already a treasure. See, the human eye views the lovely petals as delicate and beautiful, yet the honey bee views them as mere obstacles to hurdle in order to reach the prized potion at its center. The true child inside. So, I continue to soak up all the sun (knowledge) and water (wisdom), that I can so I can grow into the true flower God (the Honey Bee) meant for me to be. His SEED

Love,
Tesh

Proverbs 24:13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste. 14 Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

Obsessions Part II

Ok so I went on Sephora.com again today. Why do they do this to me? They got some new fragrances in which I cannot resist sniffing to see if one of them is "the one". I'm sure I probably won't even nearly like any of them due to the fact that they are all florals and as I said before, florals are usually not my thing. I may be pleasantly surprised! A couple of the bottles are so pretty I almost don't want to go test out the scents for fear of them smelling like old lady flowery butt, just kidding, and risk crushing my dreams of displaying them on my perfume tray (which doesn't exist yet).

Must smell (new ones):
Vera Wang Rock Princess
Stella McCartney Sheer
Carolina Herrera 212 on Ice

Must smell (old but new to me):
Givenchy Hot Couture
Dolce & Gabbana The One

Current Obsessions

So for the past week or so, I have had a little product obsession. I think I've been searching for a change and this search has materialized into wanting a new look. I have never done anything drastic to my hair...never dyed it, never had it cut and styled besides the usual special occassions, so I've settled for quick fixes. Last week alone I bought three eyeliners, some lipstick, and two bottles of nail polish. Usually when I need change and I don't have a lot of money I take a visit to the drugstore and have at it. I got away very cheap but got some great products....

I have also been obsessing over finding a new fragrance, so I've been on Sephora.com almost every day last week not to mention visiting one of their locations over the weekend. I think my sister and I were in there for almost an hour or more, smelling scents and trying out all the makeupI had been oogling over for a couple days. I literally smelled almost every fragrance currently in their inventory and for now I've narrowed it down to two choices: Giorgio Armani Mania, and Diesel's new fragrance Fuel for Life Unlimited for women only (yes the name is actually that long). Armani Mania has a very creamy smell, I get vanilla notes and like cream...I really don't know how to describe smells but it's just really warm. The Diesel perfume is like nothing I've smelled...it's like citrusy but it has a sweet smell on the top note and it's a little on the masculine side in a way, which I like but still has a feminine edge. The bottle is also so cute to me very balanced like me...pretty yet edgy. It's black yet has a lacy black slip over it which looks like a dress for the bottle. I'm not really a typical love flowery fruity fragrance type of girl. Don't get me wrong, I like some floral fragrances but they have to have something interesting in them that sets them apart from the pack. Which one do I choose? I am not yet satisfied that I've found "the one" yet, I feel like the one is still hiding out there...the search continues! But for now, love these...
