Beach Day

The weather was so nice this past weekend a day at the beach was inevitable. It was so lovely to just get away from civilization even if just for a moment and take in the fresh air (polluted) and marvel at the beautiful scenery. Beach cruisers by the dozens, convertibles with the top down, sunglasses, cut off shorts, sand in between your toes...it's life at it's best. Decided to pull out a bright printed shirt to go with the freshness of the season. Try a pop of color yourself and stand out from the crowd. Just a few tidbits from my lovely weekend. Hoping you enjoyed yours as well and especially hope you get many things accomplished this week as do I.

Thirty

So, next week I'll be turning the Big 3-0 and I feel like I'm reaching a huge turning point in my life. I'm feeling like it's now or never in all aspects of my life and I am happy to say I am so game.

I'll be taking a small vacay to start off my day of Birth festivities and I'm hoping it will be a fun experience. I'm kind of taking a blind shot with the planning of my trip but what's life without risks, right? This new phase in my life is all about "risks", I've been too complacent the past couple years and it's time to take some steps. Baby steps in some areas and some large leaps in others. I'm ready! Love

Hope everyone had an awesome Easter/Resurrection Day. I enjoyed my weekend very much, which is a first in a long while. Well not that I don't enjoy my weekends, I just don't ever really do much. I went to a Clippers game with the family and a BBQ for a family members' birthday which was super fun. My family cracks me up! I stuffed my face with ribs, BBQ chicken and other odds and ends. I'm getting used to my new work schedule but it's kind of taking a toll on my sleep so I'll definitely be turning in earlier from now on. Hope everyone is doing well as am I....LOVE!

Trim the Dead Ends

Got a new Hair-do, finally. Well it's really just a cut I got about three weeks ago. I just got around to posting the picture, but I'm so happy I got rid of those dead ends. It's crazy how my life has followed the same pattern. I'm doing a growth plan with my hairdresser to see how quickly my hair will grow by just trimming off the dead ends every six weeks. Imagine how far along we would be in life concerning our goals and progress if we would just trim off the dead ends every six weeks. Reevaluate what's holding us back whether it be people, fears, or ourselves. Just a little food for thought.

In other news, I finally got a cell phone on Black Friday. It's amazing to some that I'm still breathing, I mean no cell phone for more than six months...*Blank Stare* I've been doing a lot of reading reviews online on various products and buying products as well. I also have very specific tastes in almost everything I like from movies to shampoo, soooo I figured I'd start doing video blogs on specific topics from movies to politics to music to makeup & fashion to food and so on and so forth. Youtube will be my avenue for delivering these vids. Not sure when I will begin but it will be soon. Thank you for reading...LOVE

Four of a Kind

The Barney's warehouse sale touched down in Los Angeles for the past couple weeks and I finally got around to checking it out. Myself and my peeps went on the last day therefore everything was picked over, damaged, or not our size. A fun experience nonetheless. I followed my visit with dinner at some old friends' house and watched "Bunny House", which was pretty funny in it's own right.

I noticed I'm due for a trim (1st pic), off my hair I mean. It's looking pretty jagged. I am planning on doing a revamp on myself due to a weird thing going on with my style at the moment. That combined with a mid-life crisis as well as the fast approaching changing of the seasons. I will keep everyone posted on my progress as soon as it develops...Love

Life

Lately I've experienced my share of ups and downs but I still remain. What can I say, I'm loving life at this point.

So let's see, I attended my sister's 1st fashion show for her clothing line, "INDIGO HAVEN", yesterday. I'm very proud of her. I was so looking forward to going to the Barney's New York warehouse sale in Los Angeles today but that didn't work out. Hopefully I'll get to go next weekend. I didn't have any money anyways but next week I'll be in the game.

I may get my mini vacay to Vegas after all in the near future, but I'll keep you all posted. And I don't know what is going on with my style lately...it seems I'm in a transition phase. Until we meet again...VEGAS

So I started a new job today. It was an experience considering I haven't worked in a year and 4 months. Felt a little surreal to be back under such structure. I've been a semi-vagabond during my break from corporate America therefore the structure may be a good thing, for a while. Hopefully working will push me to get my true goals in action while my bills are getting paid off. I'll be needing a creative release periodically so expect more posts in the near future. I also had to cancel my mini vacay to Vegas because of my new job, boo hoo. So here's a blast-from-the-past picture from 2 or 3 summers ago. Until next time....smooches!
