So here is what I wore yesterday. I have been trying to figure out how to wear this bright fish necklace for the longest but every time I put it on something looked off.  Yesterday I was determined to figure it out and this was what I came up with. I pulled this bright orange bag out from an old suitcase full of purses I have from over the years (I keep certain purses just for rainy days or when I want to mix it up or am tired of the bags I have on rotation at a particular time).  This was the day to pull this one out and with the sunny weather we've been having in Cali this week, it was inevitable to add this "Bright" just to kill the monotony of winter clothes I had been wearing.

Hope this inspires you to mix it up a bit and add a "Color Pop" to your day and everyone's around you. Life is full of unexpected changes. Be the unexpected!

Black & Whites

I love when I find cute "inexpensive" shoes. Picked these up at one of the thrift shops I frequent. I almost 

blew a gasket when I saw these at the bottom of a box full of brand new or nearly new shoes in which the sign indicated every pair was $5 dollars *The things that excite me :). Another customer in the store followed me around trying to see if I was going to put them back and kindly asked if I was purchasing them. I'm sure the look I gave her was answer enough....kidding :).

Anyhoo, I also picked up a pair of  strappy Calvin Klein heels (also $5 bucks), which I'll post a pic of as soon as I feel inspired to wear them. What do you guys think of my new "Black & Whites"?

Went to find some vintage items to stock my etsy store and stumbled upon these lovely pumps. These are a bit different from what I usually go for. They're a bit more girly which is a good thing since I've been wanting to shed my inner tomboy and appear a bit more "grown woman" (giggle). Add an animal printed accessory to your spring wardrobe for an instant update and edge to springs' neutrals. Animal prints are also timeless so they'll never be out.

Beach Day

The weather was so nice this past weekend a day at the beach was inevitable. It was so lovely to just get away from civilization even if just for a moment and take in the fresh air (polluted) and marvel at the beautiful scenery. Beach cruisers by the dozens, convertibles with the top down, sunglasses, cut off shorts, sand in between your toes...it's life at it's best. Decided to pull out a bright printed shirt to go with the freshness of the season. Try a pop of color yourself and stand out from the crowd. Just a few tidbits from my lovely weekend. Hoping you enjoyed yours as well and especially hope you get many things accomplished this week as do I.

Spring Cleaning

Today I started some much needed spring cleaning. Sometimes a fresh start is very necessary. This seems to be a reoccurring theme in my life currently. There is a newness in the air with the arrival of spring which adds to the idea of fresh starts. Anything you've been longing to do and have put off, just do it. Go for it! Be inspired to make your dreams come true. Start spring off with a fresh start and fulfill your destiny. All it takes is one step to begin a journey...

So, next week I'll be turning the Big 3-0 and I feel like I'm reaching a huge turning point in my life. I'm feeling like it's now or never in all aspects of my life and I am happy to say I am so game.

I'll be taking a small vacay to start off my day of Birth festivities and I'm hoping it will be a fun experience. I'm kind of taking a blind shot with the planning of my trip but what's life without risks, right? This new phase in my life is all about "risks", I've been too complacent the past couple years and it's time to take some steps. Baby steps in some areas and some large leaps in others. I'm ready! Love

I went to a Birthday Bonanza and it took a while to get to my desired hairstyle. Good news is I finally got there only to have my hair fall when I got out in the 60 degree humidity. I've been experimenting with my hair and I don't know what to do next. I've been thinking about wigs so I can give my hair a rest! What do you guys think? The things we go through with our hair, makeup, etc, etc as women is hard sometimes but if I had a choice I wouldn't have it any other way! LOVE

Sequins & Flowers

Hope everyone had an awesome Easter/Resurrection Day. I enjoyed my weekend very much, which is a first in a long while. Well not that I don't enjoy my weekends, I just don't ever really do much. I went to a Clippers game with the family and a BBQ for a family members' birthday which was super fun. My family cracks me up! I stuffed my face with ribs, BBQ chicken and other odds and ends. I'm getting used to my new work schedule but it's kind of taking a toll on my sleep so I'll definitely be turning in earlier from now on. Hope everyone is doing well as am I....LOVE!

Back to Basics

I did good, it's only been what 3 weeks since my last post...an improvement nonetheless. Let's get back to basics. I'm so sick of complicated clothing, makeup, relationships, the list goes on. I just want things as simplistic as possible...is that too much to ask? This is what my life has reflected as of late. I want to rid my self of excess. All we really need are the basics...family, love, God, happiness :)

Red Velvet

Hello world...I'm Backkkkk! This time for good. I'm not going to bore you with what's going on in my life, I'll just say I'm really happy and very excited about what God is doing in my life. It's been a long time coming for me to even say something of this nature.

I'm a new auntie as of this week. A baby girl and I love her dearly and can't wait to dress her up...ha ha j/k! But really she's gorgeous! Things are slowly coming together as far as my career goals/dreams. Keep me in your prayers and I will most definitely return the favor. And thank you so much for reading!
